Ameda CustomFit Breast Pump Flanges™ and Inserts; Comfort Fit Angled Flange
The Ameda CustomFit Breast Pump Flange Kit helps make breast pumping comfortable and helps mom pump more milk when the fit is just right. The breast flange is the funnel shaped piece that cups your breast. A good fit is important! Make sure your breast flange is not too small or too large. Using the wrong size will cause discomfort and reduce the effectiveness of your pump. If pumping causes discomfort, even on a low suction setting, you may need a different breast flange size. All Ameda® HygieniKit® Milk Collection Systems come with a standard size 25.0mm flange that works well for many moms, but we also offer a range of different flange sizes and inserts – our CustomFit Flange System – to ensure you find your best fit.

I couldn’t use my home pump without these. They were given to us in the hospital and I repurchased twice because I needed them and loved them! The parts that come with the pump are never the right nipple size. These things rock.

I have to give these five stars, because I don't know if pumping would have been possible for me without them. I tried a number of different ****** sizes to try to get the right fit with my Ameda Finesse pump, but both the standard size and the smaller size (generic brand) made pumping very uncomfortable and left red marks/rings. I finally went to troubleshoot my pump with a WIC peer breastfeeding counselor, and she gave me a set of these to try. The soft silicone material combined with the right fit for me made all of the difference. It made pumping less uncomfortable. I bought this set to replace that initial set after about 6 months of regular use, as I figured it was good to replace along with my other pump parts. I am still pumping at work at 13 months thanks to these inserts.
There are things I don't like about them. They add another part to clean, they make it harder to see if the ****** is properly positioned, they sometimes pop off of the ****** as I position them in my pumping bra (seems they could snap on tighter). But there is no alternative as far as I know, and these are what made pumping possible for me, so I can't complain. I don't know why they don't just make breast pump flanges out of softer silicone material to begin with? Or if I am unusually sensitive? I hope breast pumps continue to become more sophisticated, but with what currently is available these are great.
